Life in August

Well, this month has been so busy for the MacPhersons!
Even now, i don't have much time.
So here is a quick update:

1. I've posted pictures of our Russian River trip on Flickr. Please go and see! It was a fun trip. Dad taught us to fly fish for the first time. We saw lots of bear. And just had a fun time.

2. I had another OB appt. at 14 weeks. The baby's heartbeat was good and strong in the 150's bpm. Our baby kicks alot and is VERY active! When you hear the heartbeat, you hear, "bum, bum, bum, kick, bum, bum, bum, kick!"

3. I'm still not showing very much. It depends on what I wear. Some people think I'm showing and some say I'm not at all. I can tell, but that's me of course.

4. I'm in my 4th month of pregnancy now. Time sure does fly. I love being pregnant. I'm having lots more energy, which is great cause there's so much going on!

5. This is both a hard time and exciting time for each of our families right now. My side of the family is excitingly awaiting Brandon and Karen's introduction of their new little one, and we are rejoicing in the miracle of life God is giving Morgan and I as well. But at the same time, on Morgan's side, his sister Tammy is battling chemo treatments for the Hodgkins Lymphoma they found in her neck this summer. The good news is it's treatable, but that does not mean it's any easier to go through. Please pray for her and the family.

6. We just had our VBS at church this week! We had such a great time with the kids. Sang alot of Jewish songs and made tons of crafts.

7. Mr. Timothy "Bronson" Branscombe is coming up to the Great Land on Friday. We can't wait!!! Then, on Sunday...

8. Youth camp begins! This is the last hurrah for youth before school starts the week after. It's a huge high for the teens and everyone is super stoked! Can't wait!

9. I'm behind getting a letter out to my piano students re: fall semester starting again!

10. School starts for me again in 2.5 weeks. I'm loathing it, b/c it means more crazy schedules. But I'm excited for it, because it's my last semester of pre-nursing!!! Then I only have 1 1/2 years to go!!! (beginning in 2008)

11. Finally getting some "spring cleaning" done in August. Oh my.

12. My hostas have bloomed. Purple flowers. So pretty. My dahlias are doing awesome this year!!!

13. And finally....my Grandma Fiskeaux gets married this Saturday!!! She's getting married on my parent's anniversary- Aug. 12- to Mr. Pierce Upton. We're very happy for her!

So that's life, folks.

Wow...you guys ARE busy! And then throw a new baby in the mix...fun times! I had no idea Tammy was sick! Can you email me a way to get in touch with her? I think of her all the time...she's one of those girls from Bethany that the Lord brings to mind often, but I didn't know why...now I know and will pray very specifically for her as she undergoes treatment.

I didn't see "sleep" in your schedule anywhere...it's highly overrated anyway, right? :) I'll be praying for Tammy. Chemo is rough.

Angela,

I was in Tammy's apartment during her first semester of BBC and have been trying to find a way to get a hold of her for quite some time. Is there anyway you could e-mail me? I really don't want to post my e-mail address so maybe you could reply to this if you are able to e-mail me Tammy's address or phone number and then I could post my address and have you delete the post? If that's possible I would be really greatful! Thanks, and congrats to you and Morgan!
