I'm 2 weeks old, and I'm keeping Mommy too busy to blog!
Well, when people told Mommy how I would change her life, she could not have prepared herself enough for how true that would really be! I'm sorry to all of you that I have kept her from being able to blog recently, but really I'm not too sorry, because these are special days where she's getting to know me really well. It's been a wonderful week for her, but a really hard and draining one. Daddy went to Seattle for church business and so we stayed with Grandma Shillington. Mommy couldn't have gotten through the week without her help! Mommy's legs are working alot better now and she can get around to take care of me pretty much on her own.
After my 2 week check-up, we learned I wasn't gaining any weight. It has been a tiring week trying to get enough food into me, but it looks like I"m gaining weight now that I'm also drinking formula. God has almost miraculously provided the professional help we have needed for free, and Mommy and Daddy are blown away by GOd's provision.
Mommy wants me to let you know that when she has time, she will share our birth story with you and post more pictures. For now, here is one of my first Sunday at church. Daddy was especially so proud to show me off, and he took me up front with him to introduce me to the church when he gave announcements. Everyone in the church loves me to pieces, but Mommy still is not comfortable with people holding me. That's ok. I love my mommy and Daddy best. :-)
Well, I think I'm going to go dream of milk now.
I can't wait to meet you all!
Love,
Danielle

That was cute.... made me cry (guessing the pregnancy hormons). Just wait till she is running around and getting into everything! YOu think your hands are full now..... hehehe! Being a mommy is so awesome!
Glad to hear that you and mommy are doing well Danielle :)
Dear Danielle,
You are so right little darling! Nobody can prepare your mommy for the whirlwind of emotions having you brought along. Quite overwhelming, awesome, terrifying and wonderful all at the same time. I'm so glad Mommy had help when daddy was away. An extra set of hands is so important. It's OKAY that mommy isn't ready to let everyone love on you yet. There is lots of time for that. Tell mommy we are thinking of her and praying for her during all of this "newness". And Danielle...just a piece of advice...start sleeping through the night very soon...it will really help your mommy!

Yes... I second that Baby Danielle. Start sleeping through the night. I bet it would really surprise your mommy!
Congratulations Angela! She is so beautiful!!!!
